Later, he shifted to Korumamidi town close to Nidadavole with his family. He has three siblings - E Srinivas, E V Giri and M. Manga. His two brothers work as still photographers in the movie business. His passion for films didn't give him a chance to focus on his education.

Choosing to test his fortunes in the Telugu cinema, Satyanarayana ceased his studies after Intermediate and shifted to Chennai. Eedara Veera Venkata Satyanarayana was an Indian cinema director, screenwriter, and producer born on June 10, 1956. He directed 51 Telugu and Hindi films, as well as introduced several performers to Telugu cinema. He was recognized for his comedic flicks; the majority of them were box office successes. He founded his production firm, E.V.V. Cinema, in the year 2000. Satyanarayana was born in Korumamidi village, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. Venkat Rao and Venkata Ratnam were his parents. He has two brothers who worked as still photographers in the film industry. E V V is a school dropout. After completing his Intermediate, he traveled to Chennai to try his luck in the Telugu film industry. With the help of noted producer Navatha Krishnam Raju, he joined Devadas Kanakala as assistant director for the film O inti Bhagavatam. For eight years, he worked with director Jandhyala on 22 films, including Nalugu Stambhalata (1982), Rendu Jella Seetha (1983), Nelavanka (1983), Rendu Rella Aaru (1985), Aha Naa Pellanta (1987), and Hai Hai Nayaka (1989). He also co-directed Indrudu Chandrudu. He made successful comedy films in the footsteps of his master, Jandhyala.

Appula Appa Rao was his debut comedy film, followed by Aa Okkati Adakku and Jamba Lakidi Pamba. He also directed films with a strong family theme, the most notable of which was the 1994 blockbuster success Fame, starring Srikanth and Aloha. Hello Brother, Alluda Majaka, Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu, Goppinti Alludu, and Varasudu were among his films, as was the Hindi film Sooryavansham, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Soundarya. In 2011, he passed away as a result of complications from throat cancer and cardiac arrest.
