Katam Reddy

Katam Reddy is a famous comedian artist and dramatist in Telugu serials and cinemas. He is from Kakinada. He completed his B.Sc in Rajahmundry and also that he completed Lab Technician course before joining as a teacher. When he was doing his Lab technician course, he participated in one stage show and for that show he got best actor award. He was a teacher in Alamuru, Kapileswarapuram. He was a school teacher and head master. At that time he had done more than 1500 stage shows.

He got chance to act in tv and his first tv drama was Chintamani drama and in that he played Subbi Shetty role and he got fame into this character. He had done more than 72 movies like Leader, Parugu, Bendu Appa Rao, Brundavanam etc. He acted more than 30 serials like Krishnavatharalu, Cine Bombulu, and etc. Cine Bombulu is a comedy serial. As of now, he is acting in Kunkuma Puvvu, Kumkuma Rekha ETV presented until 25th May, 2013, Kumkuma Rekha, >> Read More... , Raktha Sambhandam, Maharani, and Putha Rekulu. In Kunkuma Rekha serial, he acted as a hero’s father role.

In 1982, he had done Idam Aham stage show in Ravindra Bharati, Hyderabad. He acted in Bhimudu, Rithu Rajyam, Erra Samudrum, and Ooru Manadiraa under R. Narayanan Murthi direction. He acted 6 movies in his direction. He acted as a Prakash Raj’s friend role in Sitamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu movie. In Mythri movie, he acted as album episode director. Bramhanandham was also encouraged him in acting. He got fame through Parugu, Ongolu Gittha and Leader movies.
