She was born on 5th August 1973 in a place named Sultanabad in Karimnagar district of Telangana state. She was about 5’6 high. She was born in a rich and high class family and belongs to zameendar family of the district. Her father was a doctor and her mother was also an Ayurvedic doctor. She has one brother, presently working as a software engineer. Her father died at 4 years of her age. She studied up to matriculation in her home town Sultanabad and later she continued with her studies along with her career. She started her career very early at an age of 15 by appearing in a movie as child artist. She completed Master of Arts in Literature. She was an actress, performer, host and a TV presenter. She is one of the most famous TV anchors in Telugu. She is also a good painter and a pencil artist. Her parents were poets at that time, so she want to succeed them and write a book. She is presently working with six TV channels.

Presently, she is the most paid host in Telugu TV industry. She started as co-anchor with (comedian in Telugu film industry, also acted as a hero) in a show named ‘Once more please’. Later she did many shows on her own which include ‘Sahasam Cheyara Dimbaka’, a famous reality show on Gemini TV. Her shows include ‘Janavule Nerajanavule (women show)’, ‘Nee illu bangaram kaanu (gold contest)’, ‘Dhee (dance show)’, ‘Rela re rela (folk songs)’. She is presently doing shows like Rangam (dance show), Box lo Bangaram (gold contest) and many others. She is also doing a famous program named Niggadesi Adugu on TV9, most famous Telugu News channel. She was married to Vijay Kumar in 2004. She even acted in Telugu and Kannada films. She also played lead roles in some movies. She also acted in Item numbers in some famous Telugu movies. She also hosted many audio launches, movie award functions. She is affiliated with many charitable trusts and in leisure times she prefers to do charity. She is of course a dare personality.
