She was born in Kakinada, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. She was grown up in the same city. Her father passed away when she was just one year old. She was not associated with acting until her adolescence.
She luckily got spotted when she participated in a talent hunt show hosted by anchor Jhansi in her home town Kakinada. Once she was approached by a TV associate Gunnam Gangaraju (Serial Advertiser) and she got an opportunity to work in a TV serial ‘ Laya On 29th January 2010, Yellow Media Production rele >> Read More... ’.
She was married to Narasimha a Television actor and later she transformed as an anchor. She took up anchoring by the virtue that, acting needs different characters but anchoring can be bestowed by her own personality. Presently she was one of the best anchors on Telugu Television screen. She also started hosting different functions and Audio releases. 
Shyamala is often spotted in a TV show “Maa Voori Vanta”, on MAA TV, a cooking show which was hosted by her, she travelled all over the state of Andhra Pradesh to host the show in all the places, in the participants own house itself. She is hosting the show for more than four years.
She also hosted a show named “ Pattukunte Pattucheera There are new innovative ways to sell products and >> Read More... ”, on Gemini TV a live game show awarding Silk sarees to the lucky dailers. 
She also acted in various TV serials like ‘ Vivaha Bandham Any relationship holds an essential value to it ti >> Read More... ’ on Gemini Tv, ‘ Abhishekam Abhishekam is a super hit serial that is supervise >> Read More... ’ on ETV, ‘ Happy Days Happy Days is a Telugu-language show on ETV Telegu >> Read More... ’ on ZEE Telugu. Acting in these small screen projects gave a kick start to her career. She was presently living in Hyderabad and she took up modelling too.
She also started acting in movies. She started her career with a small role in the movie ‘Gundello Godaari’ and later she acted in ' Intinta Annamayya Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ under the direction Raghavendra Rao.
