Lakshmi Parvathi is an Andra politician and writer. She was born on 14th September 1955. She completed her education with a degree in Telugu Literature from the Telugu University of Telangana in 2000. She was previously married to harikatha artist Veeragandham Venkata Subba Rao. She separated from him and started living with N.T.

She won as MLA from Pathapatnam with the help of the Bhartiya Janata Party. She later joined the Indian National Congress. She is a member of the YSR Congress Party. Lakshmi has been the chair of the Telugu and Sanskrit Academy since being appointed on 6th November 2019. She debuted in acting with the film Radhakrishna, a film about the traditional handicraft of Koyya dolls. The movie was released in 2021.
