Venki Sambamoorthy was an outstanding visual effect director predominantly in the Tamil film industry. His hometown is situated somewhere in Chennai. He pursued his master’s in Visual Communication at the College of Fine Arts, Chennai. He has diligently worked on over 100 projects, some left a significant impact on the industry, making him one of the leading graphics experts. Also, he handled the fascinating visual effects for the songs of the renowned movie “Kadhalan” in 1994, directed by S. Shankar. Venki Sambamoorthy was a national award winner. He won the “National Award for Best Special Visual Effects” four times. On 7th March 2017, he unexpectedly passed away in Ooty after suffering a heart attack. His last rites were performed in his hometown in Chennai.
