Jaguar Thangam is actually is Thanga Pazham. Jaguar Thangam is his screen name. He is the famous stunt choreographer, actor, producer, screenplay writer, Director in the Indian film industry. He worked almost all the regional languages and mostly for the Tamil Cinema Industry. He is born on June 6 1954. He is a native form Tutucorin, Tamilnadu, India. His father’s name is S. K. Paalpandi, who was a farmer and mother’s name as Chinnammal, who is a homemaker. He is the youngest son in his family. He gave eight siblings including him. In his late childhood, he lost his mother, unfortunately. After his mother demises, his sister, Sakthi Kani and his Brother in Law Jayaraj Nadar took care of him throughout his childhood. They played a supportive role in his life.
He has the nationality of India. He is married to the Shanthi in 1984, who is native of Chakkammal Puram, Pudukkottai. Shanthi was born in Chennai on December 24 1963. She was name by the then Chief Minister of Tamilnadu M.G. Ramachandran who is also known as M.G.R. He has two children named as Vijaya Siranjeevi and Jai J Jaguar. Shanthi and Jaguar married at Pon Muthuramalinga Dewer Kalyana Mandapam in Thiyagaraya Nagar that situated in Tamilnadu. Their two children Vijaya and Jai are also active in the Tamil Cinema as stunt choreographer and actor as well. One of them Vijaya made his debut in acting from the film Suryaa in 2008. This movie directed by Thangam Jaguar. They have actively participated in the Tamil Cinema. Thangam worked most number of films in the Tamil Cinema.
He also worked in other regional language like in Bengali (18 films), in Bhojpuri (36 films), in in English( 1 film), in Hindi(87 films), in Kannada(137 films), in Malayalam(167 films), in Oriya(47 films), in Telugu(120 films) and in Tamil(530 films). He also worked with the television in Krishnadasi, Jhala Khreedai,
in 2000, 2001 and 2014 respectively. Thangam also winner of the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for ‘Best stunt Coordinator’ in the year 1996 for ‘Poomani’, Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Stunt Coordinator in 1998 for ‘Priyamundan’ and Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Stunt Coordinator in 2002 for ‘Bagavathi’. Jaguar Thangam also trained in the Silambam at age of six. He is only one person who learnt the 27 kinds of stunt arts. Jaguar also knew Ayurveda and some Siddhas, which is performed well in the western region of Tamilnadu. Jaguar started his career in the Hindi film with the movie ‘Meena Bazaar’ in the year 1978.
