RJ Karun

RJ Karun, popularly known as a radio jockey, born on 17th February whose zodiac sign is Aquarius. He hosts “TEA KADAI BENCH” and “BIG VANAKAM” in 92.7 BIG FM. He started in 2013. The one who groomed RJ in RJ Karun is Nelson who directed a movie “ORU NAAL KOOTHU”. In 2013 by representing India four children from Puducherry participated in special Olympic in Australia. They won 4 gold medals along with silver and bronze medals.

But no one recognized their success. Taking this point into view, RJ Karun conducted BIG JUNIOR RJ HUNT, a game show, through which he gave a chance to the winners to prove themselves.

He encouraged the children of the winners by conducting another show BIG VANAKAM in which he gave a chance for the children to speak and to prove their talent in front of the media.

He gave a chance to the children to prove themselves. For this he received an award by Satya special school. By seeing his ultimate service to the welfare of children he was nominated for an award function in 2014 which was conducted by MUGHIL SOCIAL WELFARE ORGANISATION with the partners TRUST FOR YOUTH and CHILD LEADERSHIP by Dr. Vidya Ram Kumar, chairperson of Child Welfare Committee, GOVT. Of Puducherry.

He won two awards namely CHILD-FRIENDLY MEDIA and EXCELLENCE IN CHILD-FRIENDLY initiates in Puducherry. RJ Karun along with Aravind Bharathi was an anchor for an event ‘Melody of Joy’ at the MCC school auditorium in Chet-pets, conducted by V TRUST an organization dedicated to the welfare of abandoned children.

His main motive is ‘Be better than you were yesterday’. He is also a member of Pondicherry Coastal Cleanup – III -2016.
