Vadivarasu is a Tamil lyricist, journalist, and writer from Thiruvadthanur village, Tiruvannamalai district. Born on June 6, 1988, he was the youngest son of Samikannu and Villiyammmal. He has four brothers- Arumugam, Shanmugam, Uthiram and Palani. He also has a sister named Satti. Vadivarasu studied at the Government Panchayat Union Primary School. After that, he studied at Edthanur Government High School and later at Thandaramptu Government Higher Secondary School. He pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science from Hans Rover College in Perambalur and a Bachelor of Education from the Institute of Educational Development in Chennai. He did his postgraduate from Loyola College, Chennai.

During that time, he applied for the Vikatan Student Reporter Scheme and wrote many articles. He was the highest article publisher and won the Best Student Reporter Award 2011-12. After his studies, Vadivarasu worked at Vikatan for over three years and left as Chief Correspondent in 2016. In 2018, his debut as a poet was published in Kalki magazine. His first collection of essays is Sir (a) 95-year-old child! It was published by Vijaya Publishing Coimbatore in 2019. He wrote the book Ayya. It was about his father's life. He has also written novels, monologues, screenplays, poems, travel articles, and dictionaries in Tamil. In 2020, Vadivarasu collaborated with Shravan Kali to welcome 2021 with a hundred songs. He started on September 23, 2020 and continued till December 21, 2020. He published 100 days-100 songs-100 seconds.

He also published it as a book titled Elelo Patu. He did the lyrics for the song Ivan Yaaro in the movie Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan and Puyal Than in Super Police. He is a lyricist for more than 120 singles. His debut song was Thoppulkodi, which gained a lot of recogition. He is a lyricist at the Variviyam Lyrical Foundation. In 2021, he married Dr. S. Gomathi. The same year, he also started the Murambu Publishing House with his wife and friends. His works include the novel Murambu and the poem Love in the Weed Password. His publications in children's literature are Arasangal, Darbur Vandi, and Magave Varuga. In 2022, he wrote the travel book Thiruvalar Ursurti. He was awarded the Sikaram Bulletin First Prize in 2021 and the Kodizia Young Creator Award in 2022. In 2023, he won the Union Government Ministry of Culture Junior Fellowship Award, the Bharathi Literary Society Lakshmi Ammal Literary Award, and the Tamilthadam Foundation Self Search Award.
