Gayathiri Mathivanan

Gayathiri Mathivanan is a mumpreneur, founder, and master tutor of the education start-up, The Digital Storyteller. She has been creating content on Instagram and TikTok under the fitness niche to document her journey while actively sharing her knowledge and experience with others in a raw & unfiltered manner. Gayathiri is an educator with more than 18 years of experience in tutoring & teaching as an adjunct teacher in schools. She believes in enriching & empowering her students with lessons that go beyond the classroom. She specializes in English Creative Writing, Reading, and Science for primary to secondary students.

Her education start-up, The Digital Storytellers has been featured in the media. Gayathiri considers the opportunities she has received to tutor over 500 plus students, as the biggest achievement in her teaching career. Gayathiri has been listed as one of the Top 20 Singapore Indian female entrepreneurs of ZEE TV APAC's inaugural "SheVentures" in 2018. Gayathiri has authored and compiled resourceful e-books for students aged between 4- to 16-year-olds. She earned her diploma in Business with a major in Corporate Communications and a minor in Journalism from Temasek Polytechnic in 2004.

Then, she completed her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Communication and Media Studies from Monash University in March 2010. She completed her Online Education in Information Technology in Primary Education from the University of London in 2015. She completed her diploma in Digital Marketing Strategies from the National University of Singapore Business School in 2021. She did her Masters in Media and Communication from Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 2013. She started her career with Tuition with Miss.

Gaya as a Master Tutor in Singapore in 2000. She worked there for a decade and then, moved on to join Xcite Learning Centre as Director in January 2013. After working there for over a year, she joined Mediacorp Pte Ltd as a Senior Programming Executive and worked there for four years. She founded Botak Babies in August 2014. Botak Babies is an online baby boutique specializing in onesies for babies aged Newborn to 24 months. She worked there for around five years and then founded Vaishnavi. co in September 2017. It is an online haven for affordable accessories and the rental of costume jewelry. Collaborations for workshops and photoshoots are also available. She joined Mediacorp Pte Ltd as an Audience and Content Strategy Manager in July 2022 and has been working there for more than two years.
