Aishwarya Prabhakar, who is commonly known as Aishwarya, is an Indian television anchor and actress from Chennai, who just revolutionized the TV programs in late night show. She is a dancer, VJ and also a TV serial artist. She shot to fame with ‘Jodi NO 1’ show when she won it. She, later on, became a permanent television anchor for various shows on Sun TV such as ‘Sun Kudumbam Awards’, ‘Amul Super Kudumbam’ and even musical reality talent show ’Sun Singer’.

There was a lot of race in the late night slots. But her compeering has been able to hold her shows. She had a charm of her own which could pull unique audiences on Sun TV. While the rest of Tamil Nadu was turning into the programs through SUN TV shows, she used her beauty and brains for good. Thus Aishwarya had the most teenager pull who came home from school and needed a big sister to understand them (Amul Super Kudumbab or Sun Kudumbam Awards).

Recently, she also anchored the ‘Alex Pandian Musical Night’ held at YMCA ground in Chennai, where actors like Suriya, Karthi, Lakshmi Sivakumar, Neetu Chandra, GV Prakash Kumar, Devi Sri Prasad, Anushka, singer Karthik, SJ Surya and anchor Aishwarya graced the occasion. Aishwarya’s TV career was by chance and surprise. It was when her brother who went for an audition did not get selected, but she gained notice and was spot selected.

She continued her journey thus with a dance-reality show aired on Vijay TV where she paired up with Sivakarthikeyan as a finalist in Season-3 of Jodi Number One show. Later, she got the opportunity to host reality musical program such Airtel Super Singer junior and Airtel Super Singer (season-3) respectively. Aishwarya also hosted shows like ‘Raghala Machi Raghala’ with Prashath Raj, which was telecast on weekdays in Sun TV at 6 pm regularly.

Also, she grabbed the honor of hosting another TV show ‘ Akkam Pakkam’ in which she shared a good rapport with another VJ Adams and herself. She also acted in ‘Bhairvai’ TV series on Sun TV and ‘ 7C’ series on Vijay TV.

Bhavana Balakrishnan

Bhavna Balakrishnan is a television anchor who has hosted several TV shows. Born on 21st May, this Chennai-born girl started her career as an RJ aka Radio Jockey for the local station Chennai Live (104.8 FM). Radio lovers liked her voice and listened to her program frequently. But Bhavna had other ideas as she joined Beach Girls, a Raj TV reality show. Alongside Poornitha Kalyani, Bhavna presented the serial with various celebrities appearing on “Beach Girls” as special guests. With sun-kissed beaches as the backdrop, the hosts and guests have a candid chat with some unknown facts getting disclosed. Apart from the interviews, there were fun-filled games involving the artists as well. Delhi Ganesh, Khushboo, Rajakumaran were some of the notable guests having appeared on “Beach Girls.” Bhavna could only host the first season before leaving the production. She also wrote weekly columns for the prestigious national daily “The Indian Express” for its Chennai edition. Her columns consisted of conversations with the trending artists of the film industry. On 6th December 2011, she got married to Nikhil Ramesh in an arranged marriage. Later, she moved to Vijay TV as she resumed anchoring with another reality contest “Super Singer.” One of the keenly watched singing competition, Bhavna received much recognition for her hosting skills aided by her impeccable sense of humor and style quotient. She got Globus Style Award under the category of “Stylish Anchor” in 2013. With Ma Ka Pa Anand and Priyanka Deshpande as her co-hosts, she continues to present Super Singer and “Super Singer Juniors.” She has also anchored the fifth season of Jodi No.1. She has also attended several city-based events as a chief guest. Bhavna is an MBA degree holder too. This 5 feet 9-inch tall personality has added dancing as one of her hobbies. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. She is a part-time singer and she performed her version of 2014 FIFA World Cup anthem. She believes that it is a reward to work on kids’ show as she loves their innocence. She also admits that there has always been a bit of anxiety while addressing the spectators but it is a common tendency for every presenter. On the controversial Jallikattu issue, she jumped to the defense of her Kollywood colleague Trisha as the actress of “Khatta Meetha” fame got trolled for her support for the ban of the contentious sport. Bhavna slammed the protesters for using abusive comments and emphasized the need for mutual respect. She currently lives in Mumbai with her husband and travels to Chennai for her shoots. She has confessed that her partner does not watch her programs but always gives invaluable tips. Despite being one of the highly-paid anchors in Tamil television world, she has never shied away from any challenges. Her willingness to improve her Hindi language skills serves as one of the examples for the current generation to accept their problems as motivation for their success.
