Mayur Sukale is a Marathi singer born in Pune, India. He completed his schooling at Vidya Bhawan, later achieving his diploma from D.G. Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce, in the course NatyaSangeet. His motivation to study music began early on, with support from his father Umesh Sukale. His first big debut happened in 2012, on the Zee Marathi show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Since then, his style has evolved into a harmonious blend of Indian and contemporary music. Sukale is particularly passionate about Indian folk music and his songs, ‘Gau Nako Kisna’, ‘Punha Gondhal Punha Mujra’, ‘Aaj Mala Khelicha’ and ‘Paisa Bolta Hai’ are extremely well-liked and have created a unique sound in the industry.
His usage of various instrumentals in his music gives an entirely different perspective to a classic genre. He has received several awards, including the second prize in the Semi Classical category at the Youth Festival held at Mumbai University in 2009-2010, and the second prize for Natyasangeet at the Kusumagraj Pratishthan. He married Priyanka Mayur in 2017 and continued to expand his career. In 2019, he appeared on the hit television show, The Voice, aired on Star Plus. Even now, he upholds tradition while simultaneously pushing boundaries, producing authentic and alluring music.
