Shamika Bhide is a Marathi singer who rose to fame after her participation in ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi L'il Champs’. Shamika had an intense interest in music and music industry. She used to take part in contests in her school and had won many district-level competitions as well. She received primary education in Indian classical music under the guidance of Mugdha Bhat-Samant. She was a participant in the reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi L'il Champs Season 1 which was telecasted on Zee Marathi channel when she was 14 years old. She became one of the ten finalists of the show. She mainly focused and also got appreciated well for a different type of Maharashtrian folk music called ‘Lavanis’.
In the show, Shamika was referred to as ‘Konkan Kanya’. Her voice quality texture is so sharp and extraordinary that many of the celebrities and judges who came to the show referred to her as ‘the perfect playback singer’. After the show she appeared for an examination in music at Shruti Ambekar. Later she took coaching under the great vocalist Mrs. Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande. She was perfect in her academics too.
