Parag Kanhere, also known as Parag Bharat kanhere is a famous Indian chef. He was born in Pune, Maharashtra. Parag’s schooling is from Sou Vimlabai Garware High School, Pune and he also holds a degree in hotel management from Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pune. Parag was born to businessman Bharat Kanhere and homemaker, Swati Kanhere. After his graduation with a bachelor's degree in hotel management, Kanhere began working for Norwegian Cruise Line as an assistant cook in 1998.

He worked as a chef for a cruise line firm till 2002, touring the world. In 2002, Parag began working with famous chef Paul Rankin's Michelin-starred restaurants throughout the world. He has been a regular on numerous food shows on television since 2009. ETV Marathi's 'Mejwani' was his debut TV show. In February, 2015, Parag made a world record in, The Asian Books Chef and Limca Books record for cooking a three-course meal blindfolded and in 90-minutes.

After that in 2017, he created his own YouTube channel ‘Kitchen Sutraa’, where he posted his cooking and travelling videos. In May 2019, he participated in the famous Colors Marathi show, Bigg Boss Marathi season 2. His hobbies include reading, cooking and horse-riding. He tied the knot with his current wife, Mukta Bhatkhande in March 2020.
