Aneesh Ravi

Aneesh Ravi is a Malayalam Television actor, anchor, theater artist and stage performer, who was born in Chirayinkeezhu, Kerala. He was also a theater artist and performed in “Natakayogam”, which is an old theater troupe in Trivandrum. His famous drama performance was in, “ Choonda”, which was a one-man play. He is also doing shows “Adipoli Swad” and “Oru Nunakkadha”. His old shows are,“Thillana Thillana” and “ City Girls”. Though Aneesh has proven his skills through his roles in many serials, his talent was brought out through the performances in the show, “Tharolsavam”, telecasted in Kairali TV. He came up with numerous mimes, skits, and musical performances in his show, which were presented under his guidance and assistance.

Aneesh Ravi is a popular face among the Malayalam TV audiences. He is famous for his witty roles on TV serials and as the interview judge on various reality shows.

Aneesh did his post-graduate in Malayalam literature, and a diploma in media-cum-journalism, before his arrival to the mini-screen. Working as an actor in cinema was Aneesh's biggest dream since his childhood. With the support of his family and friends, Aneesh managed to do a lump sum of plays on stage, as well as on local channels. He was one of the members of the well-known theater group, 'Natakayogam' in Thiruvananthapuram. He also worked in some famous professional troupes, which includes Souparnika, Padmashree, and Sangachetana during his college days.

He was the winner of the Kerala University Youth Festival, 1994, in mimicry, winning the first prize. Aneesh Ravi's first teleserial that aired was, 'Snehatheeram' directed by Sajan. It was 'Mohanam' aired by DD Malayalam that brought name and fame to Aneesh in his career. Later, the roles in 'Minnukettu', ' Manassariyathe', 'Alippazham' (all aired by Surya TV) made Aneesh a well-known artist among the audience. He also played a major role in the serial, 'Sree Narayana Guru', in which he won a State Award in 2005.

Furthermore, he did a few Tamil serials as well with Balaji Productions and Sun TV's 'Meghala'. Another magnum opus project in Tamil was with veteran director Balachander's 'Shanthi Nilayam'. Apart from the busy schedule in serials, Aneesh has also been seen as anchoring various TV shows in Malayalam. Cookery Show, 'Adipoli Swad' and 'Oru Nunakatha' were among the famous. Aneesh is currently doing ' Karyam Nissaram' for Kairali TV, the role of a village officer with his wife, Sathyabhama. He won an award with his team for his performance in the reality show, 'Tharolsavam' for two consecutive years in Kairali TV.
