Vava Suresh was born in 1974 in Trivandrum, Kerala, to Bahuleyan and Krishnamma. He is a wildlife conservationist and a social worker. He has saved the lives of more than 50 000 snakes that are stranded in human-inhabited areas. As per the reports, Suresh had captured 200 King Cobras in his life. Besides saving the stranded snakes, he had also collected the snake eggs and preserved them until they hatch. He sends them to the right places after they get hatched. Besides saving the species, he had also created awareness among the people about the snakes and their behavior. He took part in Snake Master on Kaumudy TV. The show made him reach a huge audience. Life is not as easy as one thinks. Suresh had risked his life several times in saving the snakes. He was bitten by poisonous snakes several times and had been admitted to the ICU.
In an interview, Suresh stated that he had been on the ventilator twice and four times in the ICU. He was bitten by snakes more than 300 times, says a report. He went into a critical condition in 2012, 2013, and 2020. In 2020, he was bitten by a viper. However, he didn’t quit his job. In 2011, he was honored with the Vocation Service Award by the Trivandrum division’s Rotary Club. It is to be noted that Britain's Prince Charles expressed his wish to meet Suresh after hearing about his service. In 2013, during his Kerala visit, Charles met Suresh in Vazhachal.
In 2012, the Kerala government offered him a temporary job at the snake park in the Kottur forest area in Kattakada. The job was offered to him by Minister K. B. Ganesh Kumar Bio coming soon... >> Read More... . But, Suresh denied the offer, as the job would obstruct him from helping society.
