Keerthana Sabarish

Keerthana Sabarish was born on 15th June 1996 in Kozhikode, Kerala. She is a versatile singer in Hindustani and Carnatic music. Keerthana’s parents are Sabarisan and Sheena. Keerthana’s grandparents Theyyanaashan and Janaki were musicians. After getting trained by her grandpa, Theyyanaashan, her parents admitted her to the class of Harippad KPN Pillai. She learned Carnatic music under his guidance. She learned Hindustani music from Pandit Vijay Sursen. Keerthana turned into a playback singer and started her career in 2005 and had sung for Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada movie industries.

Keerthana turned popular after taking part in the Star Singer Season 7 telecasted on Asianet. Keerthana’s debut as a playback singer was in the film, Maanam Thelinju and the song is Neram Poi Neram Poye. Besides participating in the Munch Star Singer Junior Season 7, she took part in various TV reality singing shows, including Sangeetha Mahayudham, Gandharva Sangeetham Junior, Little Masters, Asianet Music India and Super Star Junior. She won the title in Sangeetha Mahayudham by Surya TV. After turning popular, she joined Bennet and the Band and had been doing musical shows with them. She had also appeared in ads, musical albums and short films.

She won in the Celluloid singing competition by Devarajan Music Academy in Kozhikode. In 2012, she took part in the Kerala state youth festival and won in the light music category. She also won the title in 2014. In 2018, she won the Best Playback Singer Award at Santha Devi Awards 2018 and in 2019, he won the Best Playback Singer Award at Prem Nazir Awards 2019.
