Shiji Pattanam

Shiji Pattanam is a South Indian Creative Director with over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry. As a creative director, he has worked on several Mollywood films. Shiji has been assisting T. Muthuraj (renowned production designer) for 20 years and has learned his art directing abilities. He had been a part of Muthuraj's notable projects including 2.0, Angadi Theru, and Theri. Working with Muthuraj has helped him acquire experience and improve as a creative director by working in nearly every aspect of art direction.

He is a fine art graduate who has been on the road for twenty years. He began his career in the advertising industry before moving into the film industry. His most well-known work is Aby, a film about Saji Thomas, who lives in a hamlet in Kerala with hearing difficulties. Despite this, he designed and built a lightweight aircraft. He spent over two months learning, designing, and constructing the set for this film. As renting an airplane for the film was not feasible, Shiji devised and built his plane out of auto-rickshaw components. The film crew and the crowd praised him much for his outstanding performance.

In an interview, he stated that he intended to create an aircraft website to share what he has learned. His first collaboration with Mathuraj was Guru (1997), and since then, he has worked on several films with him, including Aparichitan (2004), Sayanna Varthakal, Mayaanadhi (2017), and Vijay Superum Pournamiyum.
