Unnikrishnan C is a journalist from Aroor, Ernakulam. He is the son of Narayanan Nair and Padmavathy Amma. He belongs to the Chenampilly family in Edakulam Desam in Trissur. Unni completed his post-graduation diploma in Journalism and started working as a part-time employee in Mathrubumi and Malayala Manorma dailies. Unnikrishnan is married to Shiji, and the couple has 2 sons; the elder is Abhinav Krishna and the younger is Atheeth Krishna, born in 2015.
Unnikrishnan made his media debut as a director with the Surya TV show Aniyara. He also worked for Asianet as a creative producer. He worked for the Asianet shows Idea Star Singer, Munch Star Singer Junior, and Saregama. When Malayala Manorama launched its satellite channel, Mazhavil Manorama, he moved there as a senior producer. He directed shows, including
