Nitin Menon, also known as Nitin Krishna Menon, Is a director and music composer from the south of India. Nitin Menon grew up in advertising and has always looked up to the Mad Men crew like Bernbach, Ogilvy, Pandey, etc. Having worked in companies like Ogilvy, Leo Burnett, FCB, and TWB, Nitin discovered his creative muscles as a writer in brands like Cadbury, PNG, Google, McDonald's, and many more. His passion was storytelling, and this is what saw him stepping into the director’s shoes.
He believes that every story deserves to be told in such a way that people feel connected to it. He shot his first short film in 2011, named “Applied”, which was a whimsical satire on arranged marriages in India, with a very small-scale budget. It went viral on YouTube and won the “Audience Choice Award” at ISFFI in 2011 (International Short Film Festival of India).
