Akhil K Uday

Rising from Trivandrum, Kerala, Akhil K Uday is a Mollywood director. Akhil Uday directed a Malyali short film Kaambh. Akhil is also the writer of this short film. In Kaambh, Akhil K Uday presents social issues like body shaming and bullying based on skin tone, which he suffered during his school life in Arunachal Pradesh. Akhil also directed another Malayalam short film, THE 10th DAY, which explores the societal taboo of having sex before marriage and keeping the entire topic secretive from even parents. WRAAK is another experimental project of Akhil K Uday. Akhil directed WRAAK and used a thriller taste to spice up his work. All these projects are executed with zero budget.

Akhil K Uday completed his high school in Arunachal Pradesh, VNSS SN Trusts Central School. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language & Literature from Shri Narayan College, Kollam, after which he also completed post-graduation in Film, Video, and Cinema Studies from LV Prasad Film & TV Academy, Chennai. Akhil also holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from JAIN Deemed-to-be University. Akhil is a student in Alappuzha, Kerala, enhancing his cinematic skills. Two of Akhil’s known short film projects are shot under the projection of LV Prasad Film Academy. Akhil K Uday is living a prosperous life in Chennai, with his wife.
