Aji Pushkar is a cinematographer who is predominantly associated with the Malayalam film industry. He lives in Kochi, Kerala. His career progressed from Video Journalist at Aaj Tak to DOP and Program Producer at prominent South Indian channels such as Asianet, Manorama, Flowers TV, and 24 News, where he also directed several programs. A pioneer in VR technology, he first implemented it at 24 News in Kerala, launching his career as a VR/AR Creative Director. During the COVID-19 pandemic he installed ICVFX (12k Vistara) at Flowers TV, resulting in his team's creation of 300 virtual sets, 1500+ 12k video backgrounds, 25 show set formations.
He is a TV reporter, where he led a team utilizing Zero Density, Stipe, Aperture Light, Chroma Light Paint, and Media Team technologies to produce cutting-edge VR, AR and XR movie content. Also, he received the Media Excellence Award 2025 from the Indian Press Club of North America for pioneering new technology (AR/VR/XR) in South Indian news creation for the incredible honour. This award validates his commitment to innovation and his vision for the future of events. By pioneering technologies, he has not only enhanced the storytelling experience for the audience but set a new standard for immersive journalism in South India. This award inspires him to continue pushing the boundaries of immersive storytelling and explore even more innovative ways to engage and inform the audience.
