Soumyajit Majumdar

Soumyajit Majumdar is one of the youngest casting director and Indian actor who is best known for his supporting roles. He has completed his education in mass communication and videography from St. Xaviers College of Kolkata. Soumyajit initiated his career in 2010 with the formation of LOK productions. He has not only successfully performed but also has directed, designed, scripted in more 20 plays. He has done these 12 plays with 300 performances in 12 cities. Also, he has performed them in prominent venues such as Prithvi Theatre, Akshara Theatre, LTG Auditorium, G.D. Birla Sabhaghar, etc.

and renowned spaces of campuses, book stores, shopping malls, parks, etc. His film career setup when his film Aashiqui 2, Gandu and Mahesh Bhatt Production got approved internationally. He has also worked in films like Family Album of 2015, Kriti Roy of 2016, etc as a supporting actor while as a casting director, he has worked in films like Family Album of 2015, Ek Je Ache Sohor of 2015, etc. Also, he has worked as an associate producer for the film Simple Notes of 2017. One of his significant achievements was his representation of India in the Asian Youth Summit for Global Changemakers 2011.

He has been awarded for being the Youngest Achiever by Whistling Woods International. He has contributed to the development of theatre projects for the United Nations with slum kids and the Delhi government. For inspiring the youngsters, he has conducted theatre and art therapy workshops in the prominent schools and colleges such as VIT Vellore, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Sophia College for Women, etc. His latest contributions include the film life includes Aami Roy Chatterjee, the Bengali theatre film of 2018, and the Michael, Bengali comedy film of 2018. Now, he is the artistic director of natural arts creative LOK producer-director of LOK productions. Also, he is counterpoising between his theatre and film life, being the casting director at LOK INDIE STUDIO.
