India is a diversified nation. Peoples' interests, beliefs, languages vary from region to region, but what binds us all are emotions, and sense of belongingness. We connect with each other through books to know more about the culture and the emotions of words written. Jyothibai Pariyadath is one of such authors who mesmerize people with their work.
Jyothibai writes poetries and her most liked poems are ‘Pesamadantha’, and ‘Kodichi’. She has also done script writing for a document-fiction, ‘Khasakinte Sheshipukal’. Jyothibai’s voice has calmness that’s why she was given the responsibility to recite poems of the greatest Malayalam poets for school students in Palakkad. Not just writing and reciting; she has been a part of translating. Blogging came into practice years ago but from past few years it is ruling the internet. Jyothibai wanted to connect with the people widely, so she started blogging. She has two blogs, one is where she posts self-written poems, and the second where she renders poems of other poets.
By the time, Jyothibai became popular and the time came when panchayat officials of Palakkad offered her to give her voice to other poems. One of the most crucial projects for Jyothibai was to write a biography of Mayilamma, the leader of the Palchimada, titled,’Mayilamma – Oru Jeevitham’. She wanted to know the depth of her life, so she spent one month in Plachimada, village of a social activist Mayilamma. Jyothibai is a learned woman who has gained the respect and fame by her own. We hope she keeps her work on.
