Indian actress Vijayakumari works in theater, television, and movies. Paramu Panicker and Bhargaviyamma welcomed Vijayakumari into the world in Kollam. She received her primary schooling at Kollam's Cantonment School. Her mother worked as a cashew nut worker in a Kollam cashew mill, while her father was a boat captain. When she was pretty tiny, her father passed away. Her sister is younger than her. She was married to Mr. O. Madhavan. Mukesh, Sandhya Rajendran, both actors, and Jayasree Syamlal are their three children. E. A. Rajendran, Sandhya's spouse, is also an actor. She performed on stage at Kalidasa Kalakendra and Kerala People's Arts Club. She is the best stage actress recipient of the Kerala State Award.
She currently serves as Kalidasa Kalakendra's secretary. Her films include Ayisha (1964), Suhra Kochumon (1965), Gracy Kaattupookkal (1965), Tamara (1970), Kaalikutty Ningalenne Communistakki (1970), Kalyani Panchavankaadu (1971), Naniyachi Lora Nee Evade (1971), Agnimrigam (1971), Oru Sundariyude Katha (1972), Kunjiyamma Achanum Baappayum (1972).
