Rajkumar Bharathi is a professional Music Composer and a Classical Singer in films. Subramanya Bharathi is his great grandfather. He is an educated person with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering. He obtained this Degree from a college named College of Engineering in Chennai. Chennai was his birthplace. He is a very famous, popular and talented singer in the country. He is also famous in the state of Karnataka because he has a unique style of singing the Dasara Podagulu, which is a native music for the Karnataka people. Rajkumar began to practice music since the age of five.
He was taught by her mother L. Bharathi. Later on, he also got expert training under maestros like T. V. Gopalakrishnan, Balamuralikrishna and much more. Rajkumar had to be attracted and influenced by music because his family was very passionate about music, art, and literature. Under the advice of his guru Gopalakrishna he decided to leave his job in the research and development area of a company to concentrate on classical music. He has visited many countries across the world like U. K., U. S. A., New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Australia to display his talent in Classical Music and has performed in several stage concerts.
He has released thousands of copies of his audio cassettes and DVDs. He has also sung many devotional songs related to the Gita, Kuran, Bible and other such devotional books. He has sung in more than hundred films in languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Konkan, Tulu, Malayalam and much more. He was a part of the Madras Youth Choir, which was a very prestigious club having members who have established themselves in classical music in any language. He is one of the finest singers that South India has ever produced. He is a maestro in classical music. He has sung for so many cinemas that it’s not possible to mention each and every one of them.
He has also received many prestigious awards throughout his career. He has many London based students came to him to learn classical music. He holds a workshop in classical music for these students. In these workshops, he performs jugalbandi contests with other maestros of the same field of music. He is very popular in the South because of his unique style of singing. His presence, essence, and throw of words are very rare to find in any other classical singer. His power to imagine, write lyrics, sound knowledge are required by many music composers to frame their music.
