Being the managing trustee and sterling director of Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Mumbai City Museum, Mehta envisioned, portrayed, illustrated, and implemented the institution’s restoration and re-establishment. This well-built museum was given a UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Award of Excellence in 2005 and has eventually turned out to be an important cultural hub and platform for exhibiting emerging natural contemporary talents and resurgent historical presentations. Additionally, Mehta serves as a vice-chairman of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage and a Mumbai chapter convenor.
