Shilpi Dasgupta

Shilpi Dasgupta is a well-known Indian director and writer. She is also known to have worked as an assistant director. She is an extremely talented individual who uses films as a medium to portray her thoughts and bring about a change in society. Shilpi is a Bengali. She was born and brought up in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She has gained her degree from the Film and Television Institute of India, located in Pune. She is also associated with the production of the company Walky Talkies. It is a company known for producing commercials, musical videos, and corporate films.

She says 'sex' and the problems related to it are still considered as a taboo. The film also addresses the topics of sex education, raising subjects such as homosexuality and more. Since women aren’t supposed to talk about these issues and raise their voices, hence, she decided to make this film to impart a message to society with the female as the protagonist. Dasgupta aimed to tackle this issue with a dash of humor. Dasgupta is working on some other projects too. She worked for the web series titled Pan Parda Zarda.
