Ensia Mirza

Ensia Mirza is a writer and director in the Bollywood film industry. She did a Bachelors's in Mass Media and Advertising for Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management. Ensia has a diploma in Digital Film Making and Visual Effects from FX School in 2012 and 2013. She did a course in Feature Film Screenwriting from New York Film Academy in 2014. Her career began with writing for advertisements for companies like Toshiba in 2013. Then she slowly started writing and directing short movies, especially horror that brought her fame and appreciation. In her initial years, she was also hired by Zee TV Channel. In 2016-2017, she wrote and directed a short horror film called ‘Indrajaal’ that received much positive feedback and appreciation.

It was screened at many film festivals all over the world. This movie won the Dada Phalke Film Festival 2017. In 2018 it was the finalist at Russian International Horror Film Festival and in 2019 it was acquired by Shorts TV International and screened on the channel along with Tata Sky and Dish TV. She also created the original concept for horror web series called ‘Sihr’. It is a show about the mysterious world of Jinns. Ensia gained immense fame and appreciation for her work in famous shows on OTT platforms such as ‘Ghost Stories’ by Netflix. She worked on the episode of ‘Nurse’ along with the renowned director and producer Zoya Akthar. She was also the screenwriter for the Netflix show ‘Delhi Crime, Season 2’
