Shalmalee Desai

Shalmalee Desai (27 years old) was born and raised in Mumbai, India. From her childhood, she was focused on her studies, and got her MBA degree from Willinger College, Mumbai. According to her, she had a dream of becoming a Bollywood star and being cast in Bollywood movies, but for her, studies were her priority, and it was after she received her masters degree, she started focusing on her career as an actress.

Since childhood, she was crazy about dancing, and with the encouragement that she received from her parents; she got herself into a dancing school and learned Kathak dance for 15 years. Shalmalee Desai is cast in a TV show, named Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon-Ek Baar Phir (26 August 2013 - present), aired on Star Plus, Shalmalee Desai is playing a role as Sojal Varad Agnihotri. In her spare time, Shalmalee Desai likes to play golf and is the best player among her friends. 

Shalmalee Desai kickstarted her career in small screen with the reality show of UTV Stars named The Chosen One. She also got herself assoicated with a TV channel as a Management trainee. 

In an interview, she said, “ Acting is what keeps my mind in a constant race, that’s why I play golf, which keeps my mind relax and helps me distract myself from my troubles.” Shalmalee Desai is knowledgeable, smart, and has attractive voice which makes her a strong contender to become the chosen one for 2012 celebrity anchor of UTV Stars.

In 2015 Shalmalee entered marital bliss by marrying Avinash Sachdev Avinash Sachdev is a hugely popular Indian televis >> Read More... who was her co-star in Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Do. She posted a picture of them on Instagram saying that Avinash is a best buddy first, then a lover, and then comes the role of husband. She feels that accepting his proposal was one of the best decisions that she made.
