Geetu Bawa is a Indian Serial actress who has acted in many television serials some of the popular being ‘’ and ‘Jyoti’. In the television serial ‘Chehra’ she portrays the character of Sujata. The serial is about a 24 year girl who is handicapped for the rest of her life after an accident and who refuses to stay depressed and takes a U-turn in her life to enjoy the life to maximum. She has been very well received by the audience and got many positive feedbacks from the critics. The success of this gave her more exposure to other serials and to work with other producers and directors. The success of the televisions serial ‘Chehra’ was followed by the arrival and instant hit of the television serial ‘Jyoti’ which was being telecast on the channel NDTV Imagine.

Jyoti is the eldest girl of the family and also the soul bread and support for the family, and the serial portrays thee struggles and sacrifices that she takes to keep the food on the plate before her family. Geetu Bawa plays the role of Poonam, wife of Sandeep. Her performance on the serial was highly appreciated and this helped her to increase the fan base following her.

She is married to model turned actor, Vimarsh who is popularly known for his performance in the popular television serial, ‘Bidaai’ which was telecast in Star Plus and portrays the character of Naveen Rajvansh. The duo got married on 21 February, 2008. Apparently there were many conflicts and difference of opinions among the two but the sudden and quiet marriage surprised the fans and the small screen viewers alike.
