Shahina Surve is one of the newcomers in Indian television industry, with a role of Nazia in the TV show, Qubool Hai (October 29, 2012-present), aired on Zee Tv. She was cast for the first time on the Television screen. She plays the role of a simple, shy girl, who is mostly sick and dependent upon others.

In an interview, she said that she likes the character she chose, and even in real life she see herself as Nazia, but the role of Shazia (her sister in the show) is what she would have preferred, as she wanted to challenge her acting ability and show the viewers what she is capable of. She doesn’t want to label herself as too nice, and too shy to cause any harm, just because her career started.

According to her, no one among her friends or family pictured her as an actress, as they would say she was too simple to be an actress in the first place, and that is the thinking that made her think about becoming an actress as she wanted to change the way people look at her. Writing and reading is what she is good at, even on the set if she has some free time, she likes to read a novel.
