His father is a teacher in English and he studied in Delhi St. Stephen’s College and began his carrer as a child artist. He is a producer, Director and Actor and well known for his Doordarshan serial. Lal Koth was produced by him and he acted in it as well. He is married to Aruna Sahni. Did a course in Moscow for Film direction and he wrote Pavithra Papi for 2 years. Balraj Sahni received Padma Shri Award in 1969 and decorated with many other awards.

Parikshit Sahni is a veteran film and television actor. He was born on January 1, 1944 in Murree, Punjab, British India. He studied at The Lawrence School, Sanawar which is near Chandigarh. Later, he attended St. Stephen’s College in Delhi and subsequently began his acting career when he was a child. Parikshit is the son of film and stage actor, Balraj Sahni and he is also the nephew of the Hindi writer and actor, Brisham Sahni. His father and mother graduated in Shanti Niketan. And because his father is an English Literature graduate, Pariskhit got his name through the poet, Rabindranath Tagore. He is also a graduate of Accounting but his passion for acting grows and made him turn to the acting industry.
