Kunwar Amar

Good dancers are hard to find and Dance Reality shows are one of the best platforms to show your talent to the world. Such was the case with this dancer-actor Kunwar Amarjeet Singh, who hails from Indore, MP. Born on March 16th, Kunwar is fondly called as Amar or KAS. It seems that Amar has a story behind, being called as ‘Amar’. Apparently Amar was given a CPR when he was a newborn. Hence the immortal reference to his name (Amar).

Having no experience in the field of Dance, Amar has developed his knack in hip-hop and contemporary Dance forms. It was the Zee Network Dance reality show called Dance India Dance (DID), that got fetched him everything. He got selected for the next levels in the show and he received proper training and guidance under big wigs of Dance. Amar went far up in the competition, as much as one of the five finalists. DID changed his life and the door of opportunities opened up for him and he made the most of it. Studied in KC College Mumbai, Amar was just waiting for a chance to enter the entertainment industry.

His next big thing after being recognized in the second season of DID was a role in a Dance based show for the young demography called Dil Dosti Dance on channel V. This show ran for about three years and Amar was successful in leaving a mark in the entertainment field and also displayed his acting skills. Amar worked with other dancers in the show along with Shakti Mohan whom he had befriended in DID. The chemistry between the two was doing magic for the young people and it got high ratings as well.

However, when asked Amar initially about the show he was honest and said the risk he was taking by signing up as a lead for Dil Dosti Dance (D3), as he was aware of the dance based shows being not well sought after by the Indian audience. But it was a bold move and he just went for it. He does not regret it even an ounce. After attaining a certain popularity status as a dancer as well as a decent actor, Amar participated in another Dance reality show called Nach Baliye 5. Amar and Charlie admitted to love at first sight and had a long relationship. At present, there are break-up rumors that are lurking around the couple. He got a small gig in the television soap as Vikram Kapoor in Pyar Tune Kya Kiya.

His latest stint includes appearing in the show Yeh Hain Aashiqui opposite his on and off girlfriend Charlie this year (2016). Amar and Charlie remained in limelight for their romance and relationship and also their individual roles in the television industry. Amar who was also part of a reality show called Dare 2 Dance has certainly proved his dancing maneuvers and hence his versatility. This show required participants to perform dangerous tasks and dance in between them; which Amar did fairly well .

Amar’s is a name which is taken among the top dancing stars in India. Amar is said to be grateful for what he has achieved now, having come from a small town. He still has an aspiration to make it big in Bollywood which keeps him push his boundaries, and still awaits for big opportunities. He started out his career in Indore, teaching Dance to school kids and he never looked back after he was discovered in DID.
