Avtar Gill is an Indian Television and film actor. he worked in many movie and television serials. Gill was born at Alakh village in Ahmedgarh, Ludhiana. ''It is the richest city with a very poor infrastructure. after his birth his parents moved to Mumbai so all his education was done in Mumbai. Avtar Gill is a veteran Bollywood actor who was popular in early 80’s and 90’s. He had appeared in more than 60 films along with Bollywood Superstars like , Amitabh bachchan to current leading Khans and Kapoors of indian film industry. He is well known for Bollywood Dreams (1995), Aashiqui (1990) and Gunaah (1993). 'Shehenshah', '' and 'Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi' are only a few of the hundreds of movies in which Gill has essayed unforgettable roles. Aashiqui was one of the popular movies he appeared in the 90’s.

The amazing and melodious music of this movie stood under top chat of Indian Film music. The next part of Aashiqui which is released this last year also touched the audiences hearts by its magnificent melody. Gill said that ''My parents were against my interest in film industry but I always wanted to be a villain and so I became one”. With more than 35 years of experience in films and theatre, the 'bad guy' of many Bollywood films believes theatre has a lot of talent but no money, ''And still a lot remains to be done” says the veteran. His three movies released in 2012, one of them with Akhshay Kumar. He is handsome as well as he is smart which makes him very popular.
