He first showed up in the TV serial, Chhal-Sheh Aur Maat, on Colors TV, in which he played the character of a Delhi boy. Unfortunately, he decided to quit the show, because he was not happy with the role since it does not progress well.

He made a few TV appearances on shows like Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat, where he played the role of Rahul on Sony TV, and Punar Vivaah – Ek Nayi Umeed, as Rohan, on Zee TV.His role in the TV serials was one of his dream characters, because he can relate too much to it. Malik also assures that he is intelligent enough to pursue his dreams, thus he finished Commerce from Delhi University and was planning to pursue MBA.At present, he was on the Indian dating reality show, MTV Splitsvilla, broadcasted on MTV India.
