Kaushambi Bhatt

Kaushambi Bhatt is an Indian actress who works predominately in the Gujarati film industry. She is known for movies such as Hellaro (2019), Montu Ni Bittu (2019), and Dhunki (2019). Kaushambi Bhatt was born and brought up in Rajkot, Gujarat. She went to two different schools during her higher education.

Kaushambi completed her under graduation at the S.M.Patel Institute of Commerce (SMPIC). She did her masters in theatre arts at Mumbai University. Though she is a Gujarati, she can speak English, Hindi, and Marathi. Kaushambi is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer too. Since her college days, she had a great interest in acting and used to participate in inter-college events.

Her mother wanted her to have a secure career. Kaushambi never thought of doing a 9-5 job and decided to pursue theatre and acting career. She has been doing theatre since 2007. Her first play was, Lajo where she acted the lead character and won Best Actress award for that play. Kaushambi moved to Mumbai permanently to continue her acting career. Kaushambi played a minor role in the 2018 Gujarati movie called Oxygen. Her 2019 release Hellarogot nominated in all categories of Critics Choice Movie Awards of Gujarati language and won at 66th National Award for the Best Feature Film. Kaushambi, along with her 13 co-stars in the film, got Special Jury Award at the prestigious ceremony. In 2019, she acted as the second leading lady in the movie Dhunki.

Kaushambi's role gathered audience attention. She won Best supporting actress of the year in GIFA 2019 for her performance in the film. Kaushambi likes dancing too and has performed with a lot of her friends who are professional dancers. She defines herself as a travel and coffee enthusiast. Kaushambi has appeared on advertisement for Arpan IVF Hospital. She likes wearing saree and has collaborated with a lot of designers for promotions.

Even though she is doing more feature films of late, Kaushambi is not willing to quit theatre and says she will never stop doing it though the pay and fame are less.
