Devraj Ghosh

Devraj Ghosh is one of the few who chose not to leave behind their dreams and passion. Devraj was born in Itanagar, India, and was bought up in various parts of the North East. Currently, his family is set up in Guwahati, India. Being an analyst at Amazon, life was not too troublesome for Devraj, and he could have continued it throughout his years for working till he retires. But soon, he realized where he belonged and left off his job as an analyst at Amazon.com.

He started working as a model at Prasad Bidapa Associates but soon left it, too. He joined Anupam Kher’s school for actors called Actor Prepares. There, he was trained under Rabijita Gogoi, who is a director himself. Devraj has worked in several short films and has also been a theatre artist in his early years. Qissbah and Gunjaaish are some of the short films he worked in. However, it was his presence in the blockbuster hit ‘Uri' that got him into the limelight.

He was selected amongst several hundred people who appeared for the auditions, and it took less than a day for the casting director to shortlist him. Devraj believes that three factors are needed for an actor to bloom in the industry, and those are, hard work, talent, and contacts. He also believes that he got massive learning experience during the shoot of Uri and talks about how it was difficult for him to get into the psyche of an army officer.
