Ankit Rathi is from Raipur. He was born on 25-May-1986 and had no background. And he was not aware of auditions then, and hence it was difficult for him. It is now open, and people are aware of it. Ever since he came to Mumbai, He was always fascinated by films, and he wanted to be part of this industry. He did not want to divert his concentration with anything else like TV or digital. He gave more than 900 auditions, mostly advertisement. It was always his dream to be on screen, and his family always supported him. His family believes in his capabilities, and he was able to do this because his family stood by him. He has also worked in a call center and thought about what happens next. The belief kept him going. He used to work in the evening and auditions in the morning. He was not getting other roles, and it was tough. He decided to sell his laptop for some money, so he could get back to trying his luck for some more time.

If asked about his aspiration he wishes to play a negative character on screen and not to be a chocolate boy, because he played such parts in advertisements where he acted like a cute boy. That’s why he is bored of seeing himself like that. The workshop helped him a lot and changed his perception. There were direction and guidance throughout, which helped him in understanding and embracing the character. It is not like TV shows. The format there was very different.
