Labh Januja is a talented Bhangra singer. Born in a Jaat family of Punjab, he is a resident in the city of Khanna, in the Ludhiana district of Punjab, India. He also works as a hip-hop singer, and recently, as an actor. He is a songwriter too. His works were much celebrated in the 80’s. Bollywood star has called up Labh Januja and made him come to Mumbai in the year 2005, where the works of the Punjabi singer began glowing, under his own name, in the following few years. Labh Januja has given a lot of hits in Bollywood but his 'Mundian To Bach Ke' was the actual Tandoori Mix number that gave him the much acclaimed Golden Bhangra singer spot. This was a 2002 re release, the Punjabi MC remixing it in 1998. The song in the movie ‘’ was 2007 ‘Rabba Khair Kare’ is but another of his hits. Two more of his honorable mention hits are ‘Jee Karda’ from the movie ‘’ 2008, and ‘Talli Hua’ also from the same movie. But after the year 2008, the singer took a light pause from the Music Industry. ‘London Thumakada’, the song from the movie ‘’ 2014, is the hit that came after 2008. Before entering Bollywood, Januja gained his musical interests from his grandfather at a very young age. His father was not appreciative of his son’s newly found interest in music. So Januja left home and joined a local music director, Shri Jaswant Bhamra. He worked for him for 3 years and has released cassettes locally. His audiocassettes grew to be a major hit in Punjab, making Januja the ‘Bhangra star of Punjab’ and he has released more than 15 to 20 audiocassettes, under the era. Labh Januja have done a few collaborations internationally, including England and Canada, but today he is skeptical about doing future international collaborations. His success has made him to sign in films. According to him, he is doing acting roles in movies, which include ‘London Di Heer’, a Punjabi movie produced and directed by Surinder Walia, and ‘Kudi 420’, which is another Punjabi movie. He has stated in an interview that he has landed himself a role in another movie, ‘Tera Band Bajega Pakka’, and that he is playing a villain in the next movie of Bubby Beniwal. He has also sung in movies like, ‘’ 2005, the song ‘’ Part 2, ‘Dhol’ 200 7 the songs, ‘Dhol Bajake’ and ‘Dhol Bajake 2’, ‘Singh is Kinng’ 2008 the songs ‘Jee Karda’ and ‘Talli Hua’, ‘’ 2008 - the song, ‘Ik Rupiya’, ‘Dev. D’2009) the song ‘Mahi Menu’, and the songs in the Punjabi movie, ‘Luv U Bobby’ 2009.
