Kulwinder Dhillon is a renowned Punjabi Bhangra singer. He was born in 1975 in Punjab, India and died on March 19, 2006. He started his singing career with his debut album entitled Kacheriyan Ch Mele Lagde, which includes the song Boliyan that was aired on the radio several times. His next album was entitled Glassi Khadke, which is also a hit. His third album, College, includes the song Kalli Kite Mil, which is also popular and still selling. The album was redone for international release, and Kalli Kite Mil was converted to a fast paced Bhangra song. His fourth album, Mashooq, was released in 2003 and was also popular.
His fifth album, Jatt Driver Fauji, contains Kulwinder’s new and popular tracks. He released his sixth and last album, Velli, in the year 2005. The album was Kulwinder’s most successful album and has sold over 400,000 copies worldwide. On March 19, 2006, Kulwinder, along with his friend, Baljinder Singh Billa, were travelling around Phagwara-Banga Road when his car went out of control and bumped into a roadside tree. The talented artist died in this fatal road accident at the age of 32. Two days before he died, he released the album, Akhara.
