Jeevan Murali is a talented Hindustani vocalist who is passionate about traditional Indian music. He was born and raised in a musical family and currently resides in Dallas, Texas and works as a data analyst. He began learning Carnatic music at the age of five. Later he pursed his education in music at A.R. Rehman Music Conservatory in Chennai where he specialized in Hindustani and Qawwali. Jeevan has established himself as a talented singer and teacher. He has been teaching Hindustani music for over two years, with a structured curriculum that focuses on completing a raag in four classes which initially covers vistaar, khayal/bandish, aalap, taans and various songs based on the raag, as well as emphasizing the importance of bhavam (emotions). He has also vocalized songs for several Tamil movies in 2019 and also contributed to Dr. K.J. Yesudas’s album in 2016. He has also collaborated with Lokeshwaran in producing the song Lion Anthem.
