He is from Karachi, Pakistan and is now working at the Dawat E Islam and is also doing Dawah. However, he decided to stop singing when he became an Islam preacher.

During his childhood, he liked to read Naats and he usually sings in many family events. He was usually praised for his good voice. When he got older, he wanted to learn how to strum a guitar and enrolled himself in an academy to learn how to sing.

Then he joined several singing competitions and even sang on different TV channels, until he became famous. He performed in Dubai and travelled to India, where he participated in many singing competitions. He has toured in several countries like Canada, USA, and England. When he returned to Pakistan, he felt that something is missing and that his heart is looking for something spiritually. From then, he started to go to Masjid and offered Salah. He took part in the Dars of Faizan-e-Sunnat and he started to sit there from time to time. Junaid was later seen with a beard and green Imama in his head and vowed never to sing again.

Although his family opposed with his decisions, he remained firm and joined DawateIslami.
