Sohil Vaidya is an Indian Screenwriter and Director born on March 31 in Pune, Maharastra, India. He did his masters from Sinhagad College of Science in Computer Science. He then got admitted to the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, where he learned Film direction and writing. He received Edward Thomas Troutner Cinematography Scholarship and the James Bridges Directing Scholarship. He has done films including- The Timekeeper, Geeta, Murmurs of the Jungle, and Difficult People.

He received the Directors Guild of America Award for his film Difficult People and the Grand Prix for Best Short Film at the Melbourne International Film Festival for his film Murmurs of the Jungle. Over 90 international film festivals, including Melbourne, Rotterdam, Athens (AIFVF), Chicago, Raindance, IFFI (Indian Panorama), LA Asian Pacific, Palm Springs, Bogota Shorts, Kerala (IDSFFK), Rhode Island, Edmonton, New York Indian Film Festival, and many more have presented Sohil's films.
