Shazia Iqbal is a well-known filmmaker in Bollywood. She was born on November 8, 1982. From a very young age, she had a lot of interest in cinema. To further her interest in filmmaking, she went to the prestigious MET Film School at Ealing Studios, London. Apart from filmmaking, she has been a Production Designer in the Indian Film and Advertising industries and has made significant contributions to the industry. Although before entering the entertainment industry she worked as a full-time architect, due to her interest in cinema, she quit her full-time job as an architect and entered the film industry. Shazia's debut short film Bebaak," which brought her well-deserved fame and recognition, received the Audience Choice award at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.

At the 35th Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival, she was given recognition as the Best Debut Director, International, and Audience Choice awards. Apart from her Short film debut, she is well known for her career debut feature film, "Blood Circle," which was selected for the Film Independent's Global Media Makers 2019 Residency Lab in Los Angeles. Her most recognized projects are the Emmy-nominated mini-series "Lust Stories" and the well-known series "Sacred Games". She was also recognized as the Best Actor at the ShortShorts Film Festival and Asia, Tokyo, in her short film Bebaak," and received the title of Best Short Narrative at the Chicago Film Festival and the South Asian Film Festival.
