Thereof became the Executive Member of the Maharashtra Motor Parts Association after starting his career as an Automobile Industrialist. He later also ran an acting school. It was called The Sagar Film Academy in Vadodara. He advanced into his filmmaking career as a producer with a 1974 super-hit film 'Hamrahi'. The hit got followed by productions like 1977 'Ram Bharose' and 1980 'Pyaara Dushman'.

He produced the Gujrati supernova, Veer Mangdavalo. After his success in the films, he became the Vice President of the Gujrat Film Chamber of Commerce. He served in the organization for nine years. He then became a Film Distributor by opening the Sagar Films Distribution that had offices all over India. Following this, he took his step into the Television Business and produced Mythological Tv Serials like – Ramayan, Shri Krishna, Jai Ganga Maiya. He also made the Gujrati mega film – 'Moti Ghar Ni Laaj'. 

All of his works include – 
Hatim (2003): He produced this children’s Tv Series that displayed elements of fantasy, drama, and others. It got based on the works of Hatim al-Tai. He won the Indian Television Academy Award (2005) for the Best Children’s Program. Ramayan (1987 Tv Series): The show was produced by Ramanand Sagar, Moti Sagar, and Anand Sagar and Subhash Sagar was the Executive Producer. The series got based on the Indian Sanskrit epic Ramayana.
