He showers us with this beautiful story. He also won his lifetime achievement award and launched the show when he received the award. Sagar’s serials always have the best story plot, so did Jai Maa Durga had. The show telecasted on the channel, ‘GEMINI’. The first episode aired on 5th November 2013 and the last episode telecasted on 16th December 2013. It was on air for a month but it gained popularity very quick. The serial comprised of thirty episodes; each episode had three different sub-parts. The serial was broadcasted every weekday and had hour long episodes. Each episode had a different story but the one thing that was constant was the blessings of Maa Durga.
We also see how Maa loves all her devotees and helps them face hardships of their life. The plot revolves around Prince Surath of Chandranagri. He is a child of Manu and he is the one who is chosen to rebuild the temple of Durga which was destroyed. There are other two main characters as well, Surath and his companion, Sumukhi, the princess of neighbouring Vijaydurg . Sumukhi is a devotee of the goddess Durga. Surath’s and Sumukhi’s parents decide to get them both married. Both of them are unaware about this but somehow end up meeting in the ruins of the temple and decide to rebuild the temple together. The temple has been totally destroyed.
Surath’s ancestors appear before him, as does the goddess Durga (she appears in the form of nine little girls), and tell him to rebuild the temple. Surath and Sumukhi end up falling in love and their love story is filled with a lot of twists and turns. Later, Surath gets thrown away from the throne and meets Medha Rishi. Rishi teaches him about maa Durga, thus making him a devotee of Durga. Surath now has even a stronger urge to rebuild the temple. Rebuilding the temple will not be an easy task for Surath as the evil forces make it a lot harder for him. Surath’s and Sumukhi’s relationship also goes to ruins. To know the rest, watch the serial!
