Seema Sawhney Sharma

Seema Sawhney Sharma is an Indian producer, content creator, writer, and director. She took her early school studies at St. Mary’s Convent, Allahabad. Then, she completed her school education at Air Force Bal Bharati School, Lodhi Road, New Delhi in 1989. After that, she went to the Miranda House, Delhi University, to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Sociology Honours. Later, she studied Film and TV production (Mass Communication) at the Xavier Institute of Communications in Mumbai in 1993. Seema Sawhney Sharma’s mother’s name is Yasmin Sawhney who is a founder at Sub. Lt. Samir Sawhney Memorial Trust (for Senior Citizens) in Noida. She had a brother named the late Sub Lt. Samir Sawhney.

Seema Sawhney Sharma began working with the ad agency Son-et-Lumiere in 1992. Then, she moved on to become one of the core team members of Zee News, India’s first private news bulletin in Delhi. During her stint of four years as Sr. Producer, Seema Sawhney Sharma led the entire news production with her ideas on graphic designing, editing patterns, and styling. She also created the feel & look for this path-breaking news bulletin. Her special assignment is Commonwealth Heads of Government Meet in Auckland, New Zealand in 1995. She trained in News Production at British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB), in London. She also trained in live News broadcasting at Star Networks Broadcast Centre, Hong Kong. During this tenure, she creatively handled several current affairs programs & chat shows in India and abroad.

Seema Sawhney Sharma worked as Manager of On-air Promotions at Sony Entertainment Television in Mumbai from May 1996 to May 1999. She scripted, directed & conceived show packaging and path-breaking launch campaigns. Also, she designed and re-invented the network’s branding with her innovative design ideas every year. She is the founder and creative director of Sunshine Productions since 1997. Her forte is in developing characters, creating stories, and setting up fiction content.
