Akshay Gangwar is an award-winning founder of the production house Camera And Shorts. He founded the company, Camera and Shorts in 2014. The company or the production house's vision is to bring stories to the people. He has produced 10 short documentaries, and all were award-winning. He made his first feature-length film, The Unreserved, which won the 65th National Film Award. Akshay Gangwar is an IIT-Karagpur alumnus and a two-time national award winner personality.
Akshay Gangwar's documentary film, Alma Matters: Inside the IIT Dream, reached Netflix. The film was produced in 2022. He had another award-winning film, Borderlands. The film bagged nearly 13 awards and nominations at over 40 film festivals and reached Cannes. Akshay Gangwar has worked with at least 40 multinational and young start-ups. He and all those start-ups have together helped to reach the world and bring fresh stories in the form of documentaries.
Akshay Gangwar began his professional career as a cinematographer for "The Viral Fever." from December 2011 to January 2012, he worked for The Viral Fever. During that time, he worked on the making of films like "Munna Jazbaati", "Rowdies", "Har Friend "And Zaroori Nahi Hota." From May 2013 to June 2013, Ashay Gangwar interned at Volkswagen India. He was part of the Production Planning And Control Department during that time. In December 2014, he founded the company Camera And Shorts Media Pvt. Ltd. The company is based in Mumbai, and he is the CEO of the company.
