Abhinav Kamal

Abhinav Kamal is an Indian entrepreneur, film director, producer, and screenwriter. He was born on 2nd July 1989 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. He earned his degree in computer science engineering from the K S Institute of Technology in Bengaluru. While a student at the Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur, Kamal made his directorial debut with On the Other Side, a psychological thriller. As a filmmaker, he is best known for his award-winning English-Kannada documentary Pujari Umma Shankar, which premiered at the Cannes International Aesthetic Film Festival. He has written and directed commercials for Flipkart, eBay, Myntra, Dalmia, Kanz, Wipro, and Sky Dubai.

Pujari Umma Shankar's documentary won the second Best Film Award at the 2013 Cannes International Aesthetic Film Festival in France.
